The goal for this inspirational shoot was to show off the less common view of Charleston. Away from the plantations with long wispy Spanish Moss is the Charleston peninsula with a rich history dating back to the early 1700s. Perfectly fitting was Poogan’s Courtyard at 12 Cumberland Street. This intimate venue with a private courtyard is located on the same street as South Carolina’s oldest building. With this unique venue setting the tone, we found the inspiration for our color palette just outside. The Charleston Harbor sits blocks away at the end of the brick lined street: burgundy brick buildings, grey cobblestone streets, ending at the dark blue harbor. We chose accents of mixed metals reflecting the variety found throughout Charleston.
